This includes accurately completing tasks related to tables, chairs, linens, dance floors, risers, equipment, and room layouts to the high standards of a private club. It is a hands-on position for an individual who takes pride in their work, notices details, and ensures a room is completely ready before guests arrive.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving event environment.
  • Ability to read and follow event orders, diagrams, and instructions.
  • Effective communication skills with managers and team members.
  • Ability to work with urgency while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfortable adapting to changing event requirements.
  • Takes initiative rather than waiting to be directed.
  • Understands the importance of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and follows club grooming and uniform standards.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Regularly bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving banquet equipment.
  • Ability to safely move tables, chairs, dance-floor sections, risers, linens, glassware, silverware, and other event equipment.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying heavy items independently when appropriate and working as part of a team for larger equipment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the club's event schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous banquet, hotel, private club, restaurant, catering, or event setup experience is preferred.
  • Takes pride in completing a room correctly, not simply quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange tables and chairs, set up equipment, and install dance floors and risers as needed.
  • Prepare service areas and ensure the finished room is clean, organized, functional, and presentation-ready.
  • Collaborate with banquet, service, culinary, and event teams to ensure smooth operations during events.
  • Assist with food running, bussing, room changes, replenishment, and responding to last-minute event needs.
  • Assist with the breakdown and reset of event spaces after each event.
  • Ensure banquet equipment and storage areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Take ownership of assigned spaces, recognizing and addressing any issues with cleanliness, completeness, or standards.
