About The Position

Responsible for maintaining exceptional service standards, room presentation and guest satisfaction. They help with handling, storing and maintaining equipment and supplies to prevent loss and damage. This role involves setting up banquet rooms to Club and Resort standards, pre-arranging equipment, china, and supplies for events, and assisting with the transportation of supplies, equipment, food, and beverage to various venues across the property. The Banquet Houseman ensures all A/V needs are met and tested prior to events, assists with last-minute client requests, and performs necessary clean-up and sanitation activities for food and beverage storage facilities. They are responsible for keeping storage facilities clean and orderly, thoroughly cleaning all event/meeting rooms before and after banquets, and reporting hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately. The role also includes delivering "I Am Proud" service standards, establishing cross-departmental communication, and greeting guests and team members positively. Additional duties involve providing "Enriching by Nature" service, embodying wellness and STRATA virtues, upholding the resort's brand and values, and being empowered to resolve issues. The position requires a professional appearance, adherence to company policies and safety guidelines, and positive interaction with other departments.

Requirements

  • Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions.
  • May require typing, CRT, record keeping, or word processing.
  • May have need for good communication skills.
  • Minimum formal education of a high school diploma.
  • Minimum of three (3) months job-related experience.
  • State of Colorado (or equivalent) Safe-Serve Certification/ TIPS Bar Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Checks with Banquet Manager / Banquet Captain when coming on duty for specific instructions for the current function and section assignment.
  • Responsible for the work schedule assigned week to week.
  • Independently sets up banquet rooms to Club and Resort standards.
  • Pre-arranges all equipment, china and supplies for events as needed.
  • Assist with transportation of supplies, equipment, food and beverage to various venues across property.
  • Ensures all A/V needs are met and set up has been tested prior to event.
  • Assists with last minute client requests and changes.
  • Performs necessary clean-up and sanitation activities for the food and beverage storage facilities.
  • Keeps food and beverage product, equipment and/or storage facilities clean and orderly.
  • Thoroughly cleans all event/meeting rooms before and after banquet events including dusting all woodwork, taking out trash and vacuuming as needed.
  • Reports hazardous conditions or broken equipment to the Engineering Department immediately. In an emergency, notifies Engineering at once.
  • Is timely with refreshing rooms during banquet event breaks.
  • Completes any other duties as assigned.

  • Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
  • Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.
