About The Position

Austin Country Club in Austin, TX is seeking energetic, hardworking individuals to join their hospitality team as a full-time Banquet Event / Food Service Attendant. The club, founded in 1899, is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas, known for its rich tradition, quality membership, and unmatched customer service. Located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as a backdrop, the property spans over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views. The work environment is described as fast-paced, collaborative, flexible, and mission-oriented. In this role, the attendant is responsible for delivering first-class food and beverage service at banquet events, assisting with event setup, ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining front and back of house areas, and completing assigned side work duties. They are expected to seek counsel from management when needed, maintain a sense of urgency, and adhere to all health and sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

  • Serving experience
  • Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission (TABC) and Food Handler's certifications
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Delivering first-class food and beverage service to our guests at our banquet events
  • Assist with the set-up of tables, chairs, linens, and other materials for each event
  • Make sure that you're always available to guests during an event and that they receive service that lines up with their expectations
  • Help maintain our back of house and front of house
  • Complete any side work duties you are assigned to ensure the overall success of our banquets
  • Seek counsel from management when needed
  • Maintain a sense of urgency while on the service floor
  • Take care to follow all health and sanitation guidelines for the protection of both our guests and other staff members
