About The Position

The Hilton Chicago is looking for a Banquet Chef to grow their team! Located on South Michigan Avenue and overlooking Grant Park and Lake Michigan, this historic hotel has been meticulously redesigned and restored in a way that preserves the magnificence of its early 20th Century style while incorporating all of the 21st Century conveniences our guests expect. The ideal candidate will be a driven chef who thrives in a high-volume environment with a passion for culinary excellence and incorporating current trends, a talent for training and developing others, and excels at building comradery amongst teams. The preferred candidate will be an inspirational, passionate leader with a minimum of 2-3 years of kitchen management experience. Union management experience is a huge plus! Responsibilities

• Lead banquet culinary operations: Oversee the preparation and production of food for banquet events, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, cost controls, and overall profitability
• Drive culinary excellence: Select high-quality ingredients, uphold presentation standards, and ensure consistency in execution of dishes
• Enhance banquet offerings: Assist in menu development, incorporating seasonal and creative elements to elevate the banquet dining experience
• Collaborate for success: Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and collaborate with Catering and Events teams to execute customized menus that exceed client expectations
• Manage financial performance: Control costs, monitor budgets, and optimize profitability through efficient production planning
• Inspire and develop the team: Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment
• Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
