About The Position

The Banquet Captain is responsible for leading the setup and breakdown of banquet events, coordinating the flow of service, guiding and motivating the banquet team, handling audio-visual setup and troubleshooting, and assisting with scheduling, training, and inventory. This role requires a focus on precision, smooth service, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience.
  • At least 6 months of banquet food service experience.
  • Leadership potential or experience.
  • Food and alcohol certifications (or willingness to complete in 90 days).
  • Physical stamina, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing during the entire shift.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and breakdown of banquet events with precision, ensuring clean linens, polished silverware, and chip-free china.
  • Coordinate the flow of service, ensuring meals are served smoothly and on time.
  • Guide and motivate the banquet team to deliver top-notch guest experiences.
  • Handle audio-visual setup and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with scheduling, training, and inventory to keep the operation running smoothly.
