About The Position

The Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe is seeking an experienced Banquet Captain to supervise and lead a team of banquet staff, ensuring exceptional customer service during events. This role involves coordinating staff, executing event orders, and collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure smooth event execution and client satisfaction. Requirements

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Available for all shifts.
Ability to work autonomously and sell effectively.
Outstanding people skills.
Trustworthy and results-driven.
Must be available nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Knowledge of beer, wine & spirits.
High school diploma/GED.
A minimum of 3 years related experience.
Banquet experience required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of banquet staff.
Ensure exceptional customer service throughout an event.
Responsible for the set up of meeting rooms and ballroom for banquets, meetings, and other social functions.
Coordinate all banquet staff in servicing and training in conjunction with the Directors and Managers of the department.
Execute all event orders.
Ensure set up of all function rooms and ballroom for banquets, meetings, and other social functions.
Work closely with other departments in the hotel to ensure events run smoothly and client's needs are met.
