About The Position

We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Banquet Captain. This role involves overseeing catered functions, ensuring sanitation and cleanliness of work areas, and providing excellent customer service. The Banquet Captain will also be responsible for guiding banquet servers, coordinating with kitchen and housekeeping, and supporting the scheduling and labor management of banquet staff. Additionally, this position involves organizing transportation for offsite catering events and ensuring sufficient supplies for functions.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience with the food and beverage industry

• Perseverance to complete work efficiently with attention to quality and detail
• Ability to deliver a clean, organized, and refreshed hotel banquet area
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee catered functions
• Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms, and storage areas
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met
• Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance meetings & group experience
• Guide the Banquet servers in set up of tables and place setting
• Be familiar with all current and upcoming events and their details
• Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently
• Co-ordinate effectively with the kitchen and housekeeping department
• Support the scheduling of banquet staff, prepare weekly duty chart to correspond with banquet functions, and manage the labor for an efficient running of operations
• Assist and support the hotel to provide excellent guest service
• Organize transportation of food and equipment to offsite catering events
• Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies, and operating equipment for functions assigned
• Oversee the Banquet Team for an efficient running of events
