About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated Banquet Bartender to join their team at the Rand Tower, Minneapolis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. This role involves directing the setup and preparation of banquet rooms, serving as a bartender, and clearing/tearing down rooms post-function. The Banquet Bartender will serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. Additionally, they will prepare beverages for other servers, act as a cashier for the banquet beverage bar, and maintain bar stock and preparation. Requirements

  • 2-4 years of bartending experience, preferably Banquet service
  • Experience in a 4-star, 5-star venue
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current certification/license to be a bartender
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Benchmark from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
  • Requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
  • Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
  • Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest and personnel guests, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
  • Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
  • Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
  • Directs the set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions.
  • Serves as the bartender.
  • Clears and tears down banquet rooms at the end of the function.
  • Serves beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.
  • Prepares beverages for other servers to supply to guests.
  • Acts as cashier for the banquet beverage bar.
