About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated Banquet Bartender (On Call) to join their team at the Virginia Guesthouse, opening in April 2026. This role involves setting up and preparing banquet rooms, serving as a bartender, and clearing/tearing down rooms after functions. The ideal candidate will serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsibilities also include preparing beverages for other servers and acting as a cashier for the banquet beverage bar. This is a great opportunity for someone with high-volume bartending experience at banquet events who enjoys making connections and stepping up to win the day.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of bartending experience, preferably Banquet service
  • Experience in a 4-star, 5-star venue
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current certification/license to be a bartender

Responsibilities

  • Direct the set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions.
  • Serve as the bartender.
  • Clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.
  • Serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests.
  • Act as cashier for the banquet beverage bar.
  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
  • Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
  • Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks.
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
  • Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
  • Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.
  • Maintain regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Benchmark from time to time.
  • Work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
