About The Position

Black Desert Resort is an ultra-premium destination resort in Southern Utah hosting conferences, weddings, golf events, corporate retreats, and large-scale social functions. Banquet events take place in elegant ballrooms, outdoor venues, and specialty spaces across the resort. The Banquet Bartender is a key contributor to the guest experience, delivering refined beverage service that aligns with Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium hospitality standards. The Banquet Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during resort events while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency. This role supports event setup, service execution, and breakdown while ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations and resort policies. The position requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced event environment.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience required
  • Utah alcohol service certification required or ability to obtain prior to service.
  • Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-volume event environments.
  • Professional appearance and polished demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • banquet or high-volume event experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine service, and bar operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet bars according to event specifications and banquet event orders (BEOs).
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain full knowledge of event bar packages, specialty cocktails, and wine selections.
  • Ensure proper portion control and responsible alcohol service.
  • Verify guest identification in compliance with Utah alcohol laws.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout service.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Coordinate with Banquet Captains, Culinary, and service staff for seamless event execution.
  • Assist with breakdown and proper storage of bar equipment and product.
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service guidelines.
  • Provide polished, courteous, and engaging service to all guests.
  • Uphold Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium service standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
