About The Position

Responsible for the set-up and service of assigned banquet bar or hospitality functions in accordance with resort policies and quality/safety standards. The goal is to obtain optimum guest satisfaction, promote return business and maximize profitability.

Requirements

18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Michigan Driver’s License
Ability to be insured under GTRS insurance policy

Responsibilities

Receive beverage assignments to set-up, service and clean.
Operate a company vehicle and/or golf cart for the purpose of bar location and set-up.
Adhere to hotel/resort standards and state/local regulations, and identify and correct potential problems.
Greet guests, reiterate service details and receive and execute any last minute instructions.
Follow all beverage service standards, including recipes and proper amounts.
Take corrective action if necessary to ensure success of function.
Review BEOs of assigned functions prior to function to ensure accuracy.
Stock bars with an appropriate amount to ensure continued guest satisfaction.
Check with assistant banquet manager on any up selling opportunities.
Maintain a clean and presentable bar area for overall appearance and guest satisfaction.
Work well under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
Maintain proper cash controls.
Follow established bar breakdown procedures.
Complete all required records and consumption reports.
Maintain storage area levels and cleanliness.
Follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook.
Maintain good rapport with fellow employees and reflect a positive attitude.
Report to work on time, in uniform and with proper tool.
Complete all assignments requested of you.
Maintain a high standard of sanitation and safety.
Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of own area.
Maintain open line of communication with supervisor.
Adhere to resort policy and State mandated laws as they apply to the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort.
