About The Position

The Banquet Barback's primary responsibility is to assist bartenders with ice, glassware, and additional product at bars as required during events. This role requires a TAMS or TIPS and Food Handler certification as mandated by Municipality/State law. The position involves maintaining inventory and stock of all supplies at bar locations, adhering to Health and Sanitation Laws, and ensuring safe transfer/storage procedures. The Barback is responsible for keeping product storage areas locked and secured during events, reporting to work in the appropriate uniform for assigned locations and events, and maintaining an organized and clean storeroom. They will also enter transfers onto inventory sheets, stand in for bartenders during breaks, and assist in running dirty glassware to the kitchen. Other duties may be assigned by Food and Beverage Management.

Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Must have TAMS or TIPS and Food Handler certification, provide a valid copy of the Certification Card, and carry the Card at all times while on duty.
  • Sufficient math ability to accurately count inventory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate, receive and execute instructions via radio.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal Health Department standards.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Ability to take directions and effectively perform the work.
  • Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.
  • Must have an outgoing, positive attitude in dealing with patrons & employees.

Responsibilities
