About The Position

As a Bankruptcy Processor, you will ensure proper filing and maintenance of files for the bankruptcy department. You will work closely with employees, members, and other parties to ensure bankruptcy information is disbursed as permitted by law.

Requirements

  • At least one year of similar or related experience.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work normally involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Work involves corresponding with third party vendors such as attorneys.
  • Knowledge of BSA/OFAC compliance and be able to assist members with questions concerning BSA. Complete yearly training.
  • Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of bankruptcy processes preferred
  • Experience with Pacer, SCRA and other electronic databases preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enter all bankruptcy information into core systems and collection systems
  • Maintain accurate files and reports for bankruptcy activity
  • Facilitating bankruptcy information to attorney(s), employees, or members as permitted by law
  • Inform and coordinate with the Bankruptcy Specialist and Reclaimed Assets Manager any additional actions other than data entry such as lifts of stay, notices of default or any other related information
  • Credit reporting maintenance for bankruptcy and subsequent incoming information
  • Assist Bankruptcy Specialist and Reclaimed Assets Manager with related reporting
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
