About The Position

Temp Pacific Staffing is partnering with our Sacramento based client to identify a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Litigation Specialist to support bankruptcy case management, legal coordination, and loss-mitigation efforts within a high-volume financial services environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong bankruptcy, litigation, and collections experience who excels at research, negotiation, documentation, and regulatory compliance. The Bankruptcy Litigation Specialist will manage bankruptcy filings, communicate with members and legal parties, support litigation preparation, and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations while helping minimize financial risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bankruptcy, legal settlements, loss mitigation, underwriting, credit, or related financial services roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with members, attorneys, and Trustees.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage high-volume workloads.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy processes, legal documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Research and respond to inquiries regarding delinquent loans, account issues, and bankruptcy-related matters.
  • File proofs of claim, maintain bankruptcy plan trackers, and monitor stipulated judgments to ensure payments are received.
  • Review bankruptcy plans and recommend objections when necessary to protect recoverable assets.
  • Prepare accounts for legal action based on recovery strategies and account conditions.
  • Communicate with members, Trustees, and Attorneys to negotiate repayment plans and resolve issues.
  • Track attorney-referred accounts for civil action and monitor case progress.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of charge-offs, repossessions, reinstatements, redemption requests, and proof-of-claim processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including SCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, BSA, bankruptcy statutes, wage garnishments, and legal stipulations.
  • Represent the organization during legal proceedings as required.
  • Assist management with monthly reports, statistics, and department performance metrics.
  • Support department goals by meeting performance standards and completing assigned tasks.
