About The Position

Our client is seeking a full-time Bankruptcy Attorney to represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings. This role involves handling adversary proceedings, drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing all phases of litigation. The attorney will have direct client relationships and work collaboratively with partners on complex commercial litigation matters. Requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active Georgia Bar membership in good standing.
Minimum 5 years of bankruptcy litigation experience on the creditor side.
Demonstrated courtroom and adversary proceeding experience.
Sharp written and oral advocacy — you can argue a motion and write a brief.
Ability to manage a complex docket with minimal handholding.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the Northern District of Georgia Bankruptcy Court strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11, and related bankruptcy proceedings.
Handle adversary proceedings and contested matters.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other bankruptcy court filings.
Conduct legal research and prepare litigation strategy memoranda.
Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and bankruptcy court proceedings.
Manage discovery and all phases of litigation.
Communicate directly with clients, trustees, opposing counsel, and the Court.
Work collaboratively with partners and other attorneys on complex commercial litigation matters.
