About The Position

This role involves conducting comprehensive financial and wealth planning analyses for high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) Latin American (LATAM) clients. The primary focus is on identifying and addressing unique client objectives, ensuring alignment with long-term investment goals and family wealth structures. The position requires using the Spanish language to communicate with clients, validate their objectives, and prepare recommendations for investment products. Advanced financial modeling and market analysis will be utilized to tailor solutions to evolving client needs. The banker will meet with clients to provide sophisticated advisory services on portfolio construction and investment strategies, communicating these in Spanish. The role also includes performing market analyses and research to proactively identify and independently contact new HNW and UHNW private client prospects in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. Wealth management advice and solutions will be autonomously provided to these families, with a strong emphasis on using Spanish for client communication. The banker will address complex financial issues, propose innovative wealth management solutions, and be responsible for client experience, leveraging internal resources to deliver complete wealth management solutions. This includes marketing and implementing investment, banking, financing, and fiduciary solutions in Spanish. The role requires leveraging senior-level relationships with specialists and coordinating their advice on portfolio investment strategy, credit and lending transactions, and succession and fiduciary plans. Building trust and managing client relationships effectively in Spanish is crucial. The banker must ensure proposed solutions meet client needs and objectives, manage accounts to ensure completed profiles, introduce clients to appropriate product specialists, and maintain accounts properly. Responsibilities also include maintaining firm books and records, fulfilling know-your-client duties, observing cross-border regulations, collecting client information, and addressing anti-money laundering obligations. The role involves independently contacting, prospecting, and converting leads to new private clients, as well as providing on-the-job training to junior staff. Significant international travel to Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay (up to 40%) is required to meet clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Banker, Associate/Analyst (Investment/Banking), Trader, or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as Banker, Associate/Analyst (Investment/Banking), Trader, or related occupation.
  • One (1) year of experience with achieving financial sales success facing ultra-high net worth (UHNW) private clients.
  • One (1) year of experience with obtaining referrals of prospective Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan clients.
  • One (1) year of experience with prospecting Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan UHNW individuals and converting prospects to clients with portfolios of market value of at least $25 million.
  • One (1) year of experience with Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan UHNW private client relationship management and team management.
  • One (1) year of experience with asset allocation, portfolio construction, and portfolio reviews.
  • One (1) year of experience with marketing of traditional portfolio investments including equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, securities and mutual funds.
  • One (1) year of experience with marketing of options and derivatives including equity options, interest rate derivatives, and foreign exchange derivatives.
  • One (1) year of experience with marketing of alternative investments including private equity funds and hedge funds.
  • One (1) year of experience with marketing of deposit solutions, margin loans and structured loans.
  • One (1) year of experience with basic trust and estate planning advisory and identification of wealth and succession planning opportunities.
  • One (1) year of experience with connections within Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan private banking UHNW individuals and Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan family-owned business community.
  • One (1) year of experience with relationship with Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan professional centers of influence, such as Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan law firms, tax advisors, and Argentinean, Chilean, and Uruguayan multifamily advisor community.
  • One (1) year of experience managing and developing relationships with UHNW clients in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
  • One (1) year of experience with understanding of political, economic and business environment in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
  • One (1) year of experience with Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay corporate law, and personal tax concepts.
  • One (1) year of experience assessing and mitigating risks associated with financial transactions.
  • One (1) year of experience handling sensitive financial information in compliance with country-specific privacy laws.
  • One (1) year of experience with direct sourcing, client acquisition, and building a client base and network in LATAM.
  • Oral, auditory, and written fluency in the Spanish language.
  • FINRA Series 7 license.
  • FINRA Series 66 license.
  • FINRA SIE license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide wealth management advice and solutions to HNW and UHNW families in LATAM, specifically in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, using Spanish.
  • Address complex financial issues and propose innovative wealth management solutions.
  • Manage client experience and engage resources to deliver a complete wealth management solution.
  • Use Spanish to market and implement investment, banking, financing, and fiduciary solutions to HNW and UHNW clients from Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile.
  • Leverage senior-level relationships with specialists and coordinate their advice on portfolio investment strategy, credit and lending transactions, and succession and fiduciary plans.
  • Build trust with clients and effectively manage relationships by communicating in Spanish.
