About The Position

Banner Bank is hiring a Banker I to serve as the welcoming face of its Market St. branch. The Banker helps clients work toward their financial goals by processing transactions accurately and efficiently, delivering excellent customer service, and introducing clients to relevant Bank products and services. The role works with other Bank specialists when appropriate and contributes effectively as a member of the branch team while following Bank procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and entry-level experience in cashiering, bookkeeping, client service, or sales with established goals. The successful candidate is organized, attentive to detail, comfortable with basic math and problem-solving, and able to communicate professionally with clients. The role may require lifting up to 25 pounds and working branch hours. Travel is up to 0%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Entry-level experience in cashiering, bookkeeping, client service, or sales with established goals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic PC knowledge, including Windows-based applications, and calculator use.
• Comfort with basic math, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Effective communication, including proper phone and email etiquette.
• Ability to build relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Ability to work branch hours and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process client transactions accurately and efficiently while following established policies and procedures.
• Provide an excellent client experience and act as the face of the Bank.
• Assist clients in achieving financial goals by referring Bank products and services.
• Refer clients to other Bank specialists when appropriate.
• Contribute effectively as a team member on assignments.
• Maintain personal reliability and punctuality.
• Sell Bank products and services through in-person and telephone conversations, meeting referral standards set by the Manager.
• Comply with Bank policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
