About The Position

Terzo Enterprises is a logistics company focused on the repair, refurbishment, and re-manufacturing of pallets. We are seeking a 2nd Shift Bandsaw Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a mechanical bandsaw to cut and remove damaged lumber from wood pallets, meeting fast-paced production requirements, and adhering to all safety guidelines. The position offers steady, year-round indoor work and participation in a comprehensive benefit plan.

Requirements

Ability to lift and handle wood pallets that weigh 75-85 lbs.
Must be 18+ years old.
Basic tool knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate a mechanical Smart Saw/band saw to cut/remove damaged lumber as needed in the refurbishing of wood pallets.
Meet fast-paced production requirements and established daily and weekly production targets.
Adhere to all company safety requirements to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Comply with all safety guidelines.
Ensure all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is used at all times while performing job duties.
Operate mechanical bandsaw in the CB or TD process.
Perform basic adjustments to the machine, including changing saw blades, table adjustments, and ensuring all safety guards are in place.
Demonstrate proper cutting techniques to maximize blade usage and minimize stress on the equipment.
Track production on required forms.
Clean bandsaw operating area and restock lumber at the end of every shift.
Inspect pallets to determine if Connector Boards are broken and set aside for teardown approval.
Position pallets and align bandsaw blades to properly cut out damaged Connector Boards for replacement.
Remove all defective components and place them in scrap wood bins.
Gather needed components and position them in the pallet for repair.
Assure pallets that need to be torn down or scrapped are properly identified.
Segregate pallets identified for scrap or teardown.
Tear down pallets and recover usable lumber components.
Document all reclaimed lumber from torn-down pallets on a daily production form.
