About The Position

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a DAY shift Banding Operator to join their team. This is a full-time position with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves entering and monitoring order data, identifying and tagging coils, operating coil compactors and other handling equipment, using hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools, and operating a forklift. Teamwork and communication are essential, along with adherence to safety and quality procedures. The physical demands include frequent standing, walking, kneeling, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 20lbs, and reaching over 15 inches away from the body.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED (we can help through our FREE GEDWorks program)
• Comfortable with basic math (like counting and simple calculations).
• Team player who works well and communicates with others.
• Background in manufacturing or industrial production, assembly, warehouse, welding, construction, metals, steel, or other hands on jobs.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling.
• Push/pull, and lifting up to 20lbs.
• Reaching over 15" away from your body.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift & Overhead Crane experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Enter and monitor order data into the computer.
• Accurately identify coils by printing and applying tags throughout the process.
• Operate coil compactor and other coil handling equipment.
• Operate hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools.
• Operate a forklift.
