About The Position

Charter Steel is looking for a DAY shift Banding Operator. This role involves entering and monitoring order data into the computer, accurately identifying coils by printing and applying tags, and operating coil compactors and other coil handling equipment. The operator will also use hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools and operate a forklift. Teamwork and communication are essential, along with following all safety and quality procedures. The role requires frequent standing, walking, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 20lbs, with reaching over 15 inches away from the body.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable with basic math (like counting and simple calculations).
• Team player who works well and communicates with others.
• Background in manufacturing or industrial production, assembly, warehouse, welding, construction, metals, steel, or other hands on jobs.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling.
• Push/pull, and lifting up to 20lbs.
• Reaching over 15" away from your body.

• Forklift & Overhead Crane experience is a plus!
