About The Position

Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and musical instruments is seeking to hire Band Instrument Repair Technicians to join our growing Band & Orchestra operation! In this role, you will perform thorough assessments and provide professional repair services on various woodwind or brass instruments. From cleanings to more detailed restorations, you will enjoy an energetic and fun workplace with opportunities to learn and grow your skill set in all things band & orchestra equipment. We are specifically looking for experienced technicians who have advanced woodwind repair skills.

Requirements

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining patience and a positive attitude
• Adept to multi-tasking and time management
• High level of attention to detail and focus
• Advanced knowledge of band instruments and band instruments repair
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling of instruments in cases up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• A diploma from an accredited repair school is preferred.
• Previous experience in high-volume shop is preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean and repair Woodwind instruments or both Woodwind and Brass Instruments
• Provide estimates on repairs for instruments
• Work on a timetable to ensure that work is completed within estimated cost/time.
• Work on customer owned and retail instruments from the student level to professional instruments
• Perform work at the hourly shop rate - with an excellent quality standard.
• Other duties as assigned including; repair clinics, working on new for-sale product, assisting with school events.
