About The Position
The Band Graduate Assistant maintains and manages the Band Library and assists with band-related courses, rehearsals, performances, auditions, events, and tours. The role is subject to passing an entrance audition.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an undergraduate music degree.
- Pass an entrance audition.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the Band Library.
- Attend and assist with conducting and music education courses.
- Attend and assist with rehearsals of Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony.
- Assist with the Winthrop Invitational Band Clinic.
- Assist with Pep Band (basketball) as requested.
- Assist with Commencement Band performances at all Commencements.
- Proctor ensemble auditions at the start of fall and spring semesters.
- Assist with the biennial Band Tour.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
