The Band Director/Music Teacher actively instructs students, creates lesson plans, assigns and grades homework, manages students in the classroom, communicates with families, and helps students grow in their music education. This role involves teaching at grade levels from Freshmen through Senior, with a course load including band, introduction to music, music theory, and guitar. The position also requires hosting and participating in Partner School Activities and Diocesan band or music events, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to school and Diocesan policies, and engaging in professional growth. The teacher will cooperate and collaborate with other staff, attend required meetings and workshops, and perform other duties assigned by the Principal, such as concerts, parades, community events, conducting the marching band at football games, and attending winter sports season basketball games and wrestling matches.
