The Band Director/Music Teacher actively instructs students, creates lesson plans, assigns and grades homework, manages students in the classroom, communicates with families, and helps students grow in their music education. This role involves teaching at grade levels from Freshmen through Senior, with courses including band, introduction to music, music theory, and guitar. The position also requires hosting and participating in Partner School Activities and Diocesan band or music events, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to school and diocesan policies, and engaging in professional growth. The role includes performing other duties assigned by the Principal, such as Christmas and spring concerts, parades, community events, conducting the marching band at all football games (including playoffs), and a determined number of winter sports season basketball games and wrestling matches.
