Requirements

  • Prior shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Clear communication and comprehension of instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

Responsibilities

  • Operate warehouse and office equipment as needed
  • Read and follow instructions
  • Keep warehouse and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging and cleanliness requirements
  • Operate forklift to pick up and transport gaylords of various material streams to storage areas.
  • Use electric pallet jack to move boxes of trim into baler position.
  • Maintain daily and weekly baler records and reports.
  • Maintain baler and storage areas in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Detect and report equipment malfunctions, unusual situations or other problems to Lead.
  • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating of baler.
  • Assist with training new associates into the department
  • Back-up Material Handling as needed
  • May cover for warehouse associate when needed and perform all necessary tasks such as: Verification and tracking of all material received, shipped, and moved.
  • Work closely with various departments, load/unloading materials.
  • Keeping accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • May provide periodic inventory and cycle counts
  • Other duties, as necessary.
