About The Position

Affinity Group is seeking two passionate and experienced Bakery Technicians to support 189 Jewel Stores in the greater Chicagoland area. This role is ideal for individuals who love baking and cake decorating, enjoy hands-on work, and have a talent for teaching others. The technicians will support retail bakery partners through in-store training, program execution, and product support. Responsibilities include traveling to store locations, launching new bakery programs, training in-store staff on production and merchandising, and promoting high-quality bakery products for manufacturer partners. The role offers variety, with tasks ranging from cake decorating to teaching merchandising techniques and assisting with store openings and remodels.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a bakery, or foodservice setting
• Cake decorating skills and a solid understanding of bakery operations
• A knack for teaching and motivating others. Training experience a plus.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
• A self-starter mindset with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort using basic technology (email, mobile devices, Microsoft Office)
• Valid driver's license required.
