Early Morning Production Worker - West Jordan
About The Position
Franz Bakery is hiring Bakery Production Workers to assist with a variety of tasks in the production of bread and other baked products on a production line. Work is performed according to SQF Food Safety procedures, and tasks may vary from day to day based on production needs. The role involves standing and heavy lifting throughout the shift, working in a high-temperature environment around fast-paced, heavy machinery, and maintaining workflow from production conveyors. No experience is necessary. The position is based in West Jordan, Utah, with early-morning start times between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. New employees may be assigned any workday from Monday through Sunday and any shift; schedules are determined by production needs and seniority. Employees must be able to work Sundays, holidays, or any shift. Franz Bakery was founded in 1906, employs over 4,000 people, and distributes products across several western states.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand and perform heavy lifting for the entire shift.
- Ability to work in a high-temperature environment around fast-paced, heavy machinery.
- Ability to quickly learn new tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.
- Must be able to work Sundays, holidays, any day of the week, and any shift.
- Reliable attendance meeting employer standards for a 24/7 production facility.
- Must be legally able to work in the U.S.; E-Verify is required.

Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in similar production-line duties at a large commercial bakery preferred; similar industrial, manufacturing, or production-line experience may substitute.

Responsibilities
- Perform assigned manual labor tasks involving grasping, lifting, moving, placing, and stacking items related to production.
- Identify, count, sort, and visually inspect bakery items.
- Accurately record product analysis data or counts as required by SQF Food Safety procedures.
- Maintain workflow from production conveyors.
- Work safely at all times.
