About The Position

Franz Bakery is seeking a Sanitor/Equipment Cleaner to join its fast-paced sanitation team in a heavy manufacturing environment. The role involves coordinating cleaning tasks with production schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maintaining bakery equipment and surfaces according to company and food-manufacturing sanitation standards. Employees may be assigned to any day of the week and to a day or swing shift, based on sanitation needs. A set schedule is based on seniority and business needs. The position requires working in a high-temperature environment, standing for extended periods, and repeatedly lifting 40 pounds. Franz Bakery is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience performing similar sanitation duties at a large commercial bakery.
Work experience in a similar commercial sanitation or industrial cleaning environment.

Responsibilities

Clean surfaces throughout the bakery, including floors, ceilings, equipment, and internal machinery parts and surfaces.
Dispose of bakery waste and scraps in designated areas.
Use cleaning tools and equipment, including buckets, mops, vacuums, brooms, air-pressure devices, and pressure washers.
Periodically use scissor lifts and ladders for scheduled maintenance procedures.
Work safely and coordinate cleaning tasks with production schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
