About The Position

Saskatoon Co-op is seeking a PT Bakery Production Assistant to join their team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the preparation, finishing, and sale of bakery products, as well as maintaining sanitation and record-keeping standards. The position is part-time and requires flexibility in working hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Requirements

• Must be strongly service-oriented, motivated and capable of serving customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Must have capability to operate the required equipment for the preparation, merchandising and sale of Bakery products.
• Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform slicing and packaging duties for breads and buns.
• Fry and finish doughnuts in the prescribed manner.
• Finish tarts, pies, etc. in the prescribed manner.
• Assist in bench work on cookies and other dough.
• Maintain required records in the work area, including preparation of production sheets as prescribed.
• Take bakery orders from customers and prepare accurate invoices for those goods.
• Observe and maintain system sanitation standards and practices, maintain tools and equipment, and keep work area clean and neat.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
• Follow departmental security policies.
