About The Position

The Bakery Oven Operator produces bread for store opening and reviews bread production and quality. The role ensures bread and other bakery products remain stocked in display cases, on tables, and in bowl boxes. It supports baking breads, cookies, desserts, and pan dulce while maintaining product quality, customer service, sanitation, food safety, and department standards.

Requirements

Valid Food Handlers Card.
Knowledge of basic baked products, including cakes, breads, cookies, pan dulce, and special-order cakes.
Knowledge of standard baking production equipment.
Ability to perform advanced baking methods and multitask.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Produce bread for store opening and review bread production and quality.
Keep bread stocked in showcases, on tables, and in bowl boxes.
Greet and assist customers with questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Organize bakery products in display cases and on tables, keeping displays stocked.
Support baking breads, cookies, desserts, and pan dulce.
Communicate with management and the baking team to address requests, issues, and needs.
Conduct regular inventory to ensure appropriate product levels.
Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety.
Stock, fill, and face products; ensure pricing accuracy; rotate bakery products; and discard outdated or spoiled items.
Use bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
Take food orders in person and by telephone.
Engage with customers and improve the speed and efficiency of service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
