About The Position

The Bakery Cook prepares fresh baked goods daily by following recipes and labeling and storing baked goods. The role prepares and assembles quality food products in a fast-paced environment and is expected to model company values while providing excellent customer service. The position also involves maintaining product displays and inventory, taking food orders, and upholding quality, cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and food-safety standards.

Requirements

Valid Food Handlers Card.
Knowledge of basic baked products, including cakes, breads, cookies, pan dulce, and special-order cakes.
Knowledge of standard baking production equipment.
Ability to perform advanced baking methods and multitask.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Continuously walk and stand throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Organize products in display cases and on tables and keep cases fully stocked.
Support the team in baking breads, cookies, desserts, and pan dulce.
Communicate with management and the baking team to address guest and employee needs or issues.
Conduct regular inventory to maintain appropriate product levels.
Maintain quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department-condition, and food-safety standards.
Stock, fill, and face products; ensure pricing accuracy; rotate bakery products; and discard outdated or spoiled items.
Use professional bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
Take food orders in person and by telephone.
Demonstrate customer-service excellence, engage with customers, and improve service speed and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
