About The Position

The Bakery Cook prepares fresh baked goods daily by following recipes and labeling and storing products. The role prepares and assembles quality food products in a fast-paced environment and serves as a company role model by delivering excellent customer service while upholding company core values. The position also supports bakery production, product displays, inventory, food safety, sanitation, and customer orders.

Requirements

Valid Food Handlers Card.
Ability to walk continuously throughout the shift while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
Ability to stand continuously throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner to address questions or concerns.
Organize products in display cases and on tables, keeping cases fully stocked.
Support baking a variety of breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce.
Use knowledge of baked products and standard baking equipment, perform advanced baking methods, and multitask.
Communicate effectively with management and the baking team to address guest and employee requests or needs.
Conduct inventory regularly to ensure appropriate stock levels.
Maintain quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety standards.
Stock, fill, and face products; ensure pricing accuracy; rotate bakery products; and discard outdated or spoiled items.
Work with professional bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
Take food orders in person and by telephone.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and engage with customers.
Improve the speed and efficiency of service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
