About The Position

The Bakery Cook prepares fresh baked goods daily by following recipes, labeling products, and storing baked goods. This role prepares and assembles quality food products in a fast-paced environment and is expected to model company values while delivering excellent customer service. The position supports production of breads, cookies, desserts, pan dulce, and other bakery products, maintains product displays and inventory, and helps ensure quality, cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and food safety standards.

Requirements

Valid Food Handlers Card.
Knowledge of basic baked products, including cakes, breads, cookies, pan dulce, and special-order cakes.
Knowledge of standard baking production equipment.
Ability to perform advanced baking methods and multitask.
Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is desirable.
Retail experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with customers, responding to questions and concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Organize products in display cases and on tables, keeping cases fully stocked.
Support baking of breads, cookies, desserts, and pan dulce.
Communicate with management and the baking team to address guest and employee needs or issues.
Conduct inventory regularly to maintain proper product levels.
Maintain quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department-condition, and food-safety standards.
Stock, fill, and face products; ensure pricing accuracy; rotate bakery products; and discard outdated or spoiled items.
Use professional bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
Take food orders in person and by telephone.
Engage customers and provide excellent service while improving service speed and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
