About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting their shopping needs. They guide customers toward healthy food and trusted products for wellbeing and the household. The Bakery Clerk provides service at the bakery counter, prepares baked goods according to production guidelines, maintains product displays, and keeps the department clean and organized.

Requirements

• Previous experience baking or cooking in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment is preferred.
• Experience in retail and/or a customer service-oriented environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
• Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
• Must be able to stand and remain on one’s feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience baking or cooking in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment.
• Experience in retail and/or a customer service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the bakery counter and in other areas as needed.
• Bake goods daily according to production guidelines.
• Set and maintain the baked-goods case and sales floor, including products, signage, and freshness rotation.
• Maintain the department’s cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization.
