About The Position

Earth Fare Team Members help ensure customers have a fulfilling store visit by answering questions and meeting shopping needs. They help customers choose healthy food and trusted wellbeing and household products. The Bakery Clerk provides service at the bakery counter, bakes goods according to production guidelines, maintains the baked goods case and sales floor, and keeps the department clean, sanitary, and organized.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-service-focused environment.
• Ability to work in environments that may involve extreme cold.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
• Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
• Ability to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Previous baking or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment.
• Experience working in retail and/or a customer-service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the bakery counter and in other areas as needed.
• Bake goods daily according to production guidelines.
• Set and maintain the baked goods case and sales floor, including products, signage, and freshness rotation.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the department.
