About The Position
The Bakery and Deli Food Clerk delivers remarkable customer service by providing product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role involves a variety of retail tasks related to products, customer service, and merchandising, primarily in the Fresh departments. Food Clerks help create a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience by assisting customers, maintaining product displays, stocking and merchandising products, and following food safety and quality procedures. The role may involve working across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, and Grocery, along with other tasks needed to support store operations. The position requires open availability and physical activity, including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods. Previous retail or food service experience is helpful but not required. The stated pay range is $15.25–$16.98, with a step pay plan and raises after predetermined hours worked.
