About The Position

The 3rd Shift Baker provides excellent guest service through bakery department activities. Responsibilities include preparing products for sale, maintaining product quality and freshness, supporting bakery operations, and keeping work and sales areas sanitary and organized.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare products for sale by baking, weighing, and pricing them.
• Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
• Perform cake-decorating clerk functions when requested.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to the supervisor.
• Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
• Perform front porch duties to maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
• Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
• Assist with product receiving and storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
