About The Position

Yellowstone Club’s Culinary department is currently seeking candidates for a Baker Assistant for the Winter season. The purpose of this role is to assist the head baker with all baking production. Yellowstone Club is a private residential community in Big Sky, Montana, offering its members the world’s only private ski and golf community. Employees are essential to creating the Yellowstone Club experience and are expected to provide the highest level of guest service, ensuring no detail is too small to overlook.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work overnight shift
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certificate in culinary arts or relevant field
  • 6+ years as a line cook
  • 3+ years of staff management experience or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of world class hospitality and service management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Baker in both independent operations and luxury hotels is preferred.

  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.
  • Manage delivery logistics of bakery products to all restaurant outlets.
  • Work with the head baker to with the core processes listed below: Viennoiserie (croissants, danish, puff pastry), Sourdough (naturally leavened breads, high hydration doughs), Baguettes ( mix, shape and bake), Donuts (Multiple varieties, including cake and some GF), Quick breads (muffins, coffee cakes).
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.
  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
