About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. A key function of the job is regular and reliable attendance. Responsibilities include placing customer purchases into bags, placing filled bags in carts, and carrying customer purchases to their cars. The role also involves retrieving carts from the parking lot, picking up litter in the store and parking lot, stocking bags on check stands, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, returning abandoned merchandise to shelves, reading and understanding shelf tags, and verifying prices. Other duties may be assigned by store management.

Requirements

• 16 years or older to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands

• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
