About The Position
This is not an official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. The position of center store clerk involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, maintaining regular and reliable attendance, and stocking, straightening, and rotating products on shelves in the Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery Departments. Responsibilities also include processing incoming product from the warehouse and direct store delivery vendors, reading and understanding shelf tags, and sorting damaged product for credit. The role requires operating equipment such as a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler, while adhering to company safety guidelines. Maintaining cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler, and freezer, and upholding company productivity standards are also key aspects. Other duties may be assigned by store management.
Requirements
- 18+ Yrs To Apply
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline) (for internal candidates).
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance (for internal candidates).
Nice To Haves
- minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for internal Store/Facility Teammates).
- minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for internal Store Support Center Teammates).
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers

- Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments.
- Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
- Read and understand shelf tags

- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
