About The Position
The Bagger is responsible for properly and efficiently packing customers’ grocery items while delivering friendly, courteous service. Baggers assist customers with loading groceries, collecting carts, and supporting overall cleanliness and organization at the front end. This role plays a key part in creating a positive and helpful shopping experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements
- Must pass an oral reading test.
- Valid Health Certificate
- Able to read and speak in English
- Must be able to uphold our company’s mission statement
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and customers
- Adhere to all local and federal safety and environmental codes, ordinances, standards and laws
- Adhere to all Pay-Less Markets and local safety plans, policies, practices and standards
- Be aware of and follow all safety rules of your work site
- Report any unsafe conditions or accidents to your supervisor and participate in mandatory or available safety training.

Responsibilities
- Packs grocery items carefully into bags based on item type, weight, and customer preference, following company standards.
- Aids customers by placing groceries in carts and escorting them to their vehicles when needed.
- Collects and returns shopping carts from parking areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assists customers with questions and directs them to product locations or appropriate staff.
- Verifies pricing on items when requested and communicates clearly with the cashier.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and front-end stations.
- Carries out trash, restocks front-end supplies (bags, receipt paper, cleaning materials), and sanitizes high-touch areas regularly.
- Provides backup support to other departments, such as stocking shelves or unloading deliveries, as directed.
- Upholds excellent customer service standards by being courteous, attentive, and professional at all times.
- Follows all store safety procedures and loss prevention guidelines.
- Provides assistance relative to monthly and fiscal inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
