About The Position

The Bagger provides friendly and courteous customer service by bagging purchases, placing filled bags in carts, and carrying purchases to customers’ cars. The role also involves retrieving carts, maintaining cleanliness throughout the store and parking lot, stocking bags, handling trash, returning merchandise to shelves, and assisting with price verification. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function. Training is provided at the store level. The posting seeks applicants available for afternoons and weekends, including Sundays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
• Must be able to bend and stoop.
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time.
• Must be able to work outside in seasonal weather.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work on feet for the entire shift, which lasts 4–8 hours.
• Availability for afternoons and weekends, including Sundays.

Nice To Haves

• For store/facility teammates applying internally, a minimum of six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
• For Store Support Center teammates applying internally, a minimum of one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags and place filled bags in carts.
• Carry customers’ purchases to their cars.
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, parking lot, and carts.
• Stock bags on check stands.
• Empty trash from check stands and the service center.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves.
• Read and understand shelf tags.
• Verify merchandise prices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
