About The Position

Performs production operation duties to ensure quality products are produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery to customers in a safe manner. The position supports production by loading and debagging bottles, inspecting bottles and packaging, assisting with equipment changeovers and sanitation, and following food safety, quality, and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements

Ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.

Responsibilities

Load and debag bottles as needed to support production.
Visually inspect bottles placed on the production line and remove damaged bottles.
Bag bottles not used for production and move them to storage as required.
Monitor product weights, seals, caps, and general packaging.
Ensure the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
Assist with equipment changeovers safely and efficiently.
Help prepare equipment for the next production run, including size changes as needed.
Ensure proper code dates and monitor ink jet printers.
Complete the cleaning checklist and assist with equipment sanitation.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and safety and security policies and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow food safety and quality system requirements, including pertinent regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
