About The Position

Guardian Professional Services is expanding its staff at the Fort Myers RSW Airport Location and is recruiting experienced Baggage Handler Agents and Porters. The ideal candidate is energetic, detailed oriented, motivated, able to lift bagged weights up to 75lbs, and can work independently or in a team environment. We are looking for responsible, punctual, reliable, and self-motivated individuals to join our GREAT TEAM.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have clear background check
  • Must meet all requirements to receive required Airport SIDA Badge
  • Full time work week (40hr)
  • Must be flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during irregular operations
  • Must pass thorough background screening to be eligible for this position.
  • Must has reliable transportation and proof of car insurance.

  • The employee must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • The employee must be able to move in a relatively quick manner.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust, focus and read.

Responsibilities

  • Safety load and unloading luggage's
  • Accurately transferring baggage's correctly
  • Assist passengers, offering answers to questions if needed.
  • Lift baggage up to 75lbs.
  • Review all checked in items for the correct labels to be handled properly
  • Assist check-in airline agent with baggage request
  • Take care of daily opening and closing of terminal
  • Able to meet the station's attendance standards
  • Ensures baggage tagging is correct
  • Evaluates customers' needs concerning airline locations
  • Other duties as assigned throughout the shift
