About The Position

Convergint is hiring a full-time Badging Specialist in Abilene, Texas. The role is part of a security operations team and involves monitoring security and badge activity, observing and reporting emergency and non-emergency events, coordinating and dispatching appropriate personnel, and monitoring the facility’s emergency information communications system. The Badging Specialist manages CCTV coverage of interior and exterior property areas and grants access to designated building levels and outside areas. The role also calls for customer-focused service, independent and collaborative work, and timely responses to security risks.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must be results driven.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to pass applicable State and Federal licensing requirements.
• Ability to identify and respond to security risks in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a similar role in one or more of these industries: electronic, fire alarm and life safety, building automation, or healthcare.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report emergency and non-emergency events.
• Monitor security.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel and notify the appropriate level of management.
• Report and dispatch events, and coordinate with appropriate parties regarding emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Manage CCTV to monitor interior and exterior areas of the property.
• Monitor badge activities and grant access to designated building levels and outside areas.
• Monitor the facility’s emergency information communications system.
• Participate in the Recruit Awesome People program by referring candidates to the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers.
