About The Position

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Badging Coordinator to focus on onboarding and orienting new hires. This role manages the pre-employment background process through first-day orientation and ongoing access and badging needs. The position also supports guest check-in/out, oversees the guest entry area, monitors building entrances, manages deliveries and mail, and adheres to workplace security protocols.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent, or airline experience and other training certificates may be substituted.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills; able to successfully build cross-functional relationships and provide excellent client service.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Strong organization, project management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, with the ability to flex into responsibilities outside of role to support business growth.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Demonstrated initiative; able to function independently with minimal supervision but seeks supportive coaching where needed.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Must be able to obtain a MSP SIDA badge.

Responsibilities

  • Supports compliance with AOSSP, PCSSP, and FACAOSSP in all badging functions, including management of Rap Back, Airline Employee Vetting (AEV) CHRC, and all pre-employment badging procedures.
  • Coordinates and administers pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history background checks for security-sensitive positions.
  • Assists with processing MSP Airport Police Department (APD) and Customs Border Patrol (CBP) Clearance Notifications.
  • Interprets TSA regulations pertaining to CHRC retention and fingerprint-based criminal history background checks.
  • Interprets and administers Sun Country’s ID Media policy.
  • Completes a required Badge Audit of all SY blue badge holders to ensure compliance with the 5% threshold.
  • Assists with the completion of quarterly SIDA Airport Badge audits established by the MSP Metropolitan Airport Commission (MAC).
  • Assists with coordinating the SIDA and SY Blue Badge Termination Process.
  • Assists with the completion of the Customs Border Patrol (CBP) quarterly audit established by CBP as it relates to airport security.
  • Processes and manages MSP Airport Police Department (APD) and Customs Border Patrol (CBP) Clearance Notifications.
  • Interprets FBI privacy rights regarding fingerprint-based background checks and administers paperwork to standards.
  • Coordinates all aspects of badge renewal in compliance with TSA and Sun Country policies, including badge creation, return, and management of lost badges.
  • Assists in carrying out TSA RAP Back Program responsibilities under the direction of the designated TSA Supervisor.
  • Coordinates with the IT department on badging for contractors, determining proper door access.
  • Provides support in coordinating with the MSP SIDA Badging Office on SIDA Swipe Report requests for fraud detection and employee accountability.
  • Conducts MSP SIDA-controlled door key reclamations and accountability.
  • Coordinates with IT on security access for Sun Country employees to various properties.
  • Assists in administering the Internal “No Fly List” within Sun Country Airlines.
  • Assists in any audits within the badging function to ensure badging compliance.
  • Maintains reports and audits retention.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for employees, visitors, and contractors, resolving inquiries.
  • Supports security staff in continuous efforts to ensure compliance with company, government, and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists with the coordination and facilitation of the administration of all Sun Country security policies.
  • Provides assistance in coordinating SIDA/SCA badging appointment scheduling.
  • Serves as the main backup to the badging coordinator for front desk duties, including reporting lost and found articles, greeting, verifying, and registering visitors.
  • Attends and completes authorized signer training for MAC.
  • Understands and performs basic safety and security procedures of the headquarters building.
