About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Backup Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Mounds View, Minnesota. In this role, you are responsible for performing assigned production functions in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements. You will also back up the Shipping department, as needed, by organizing finished product, loading trucks, and transferring material.

Requirements

Moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines.
High school education or equivalent preferred.
At least 3 years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
At least 6 months of forklift experience; ability to pass OSHA required practical and written exams.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of production, assembly, or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performing assigned production functions in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements.
Backing up the Shipping department as needed by organizing finished product, loading trucks, and transferring material.
Monitoring product to ensure quality standards are being met and rejecting product that does not meet quality standards.
Keeping the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completing production reports and other documentation.
Promoting teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
Assisting in other work areas when the workload permits or requires.
