Backroom & Sales Floor Associate
About The Position
The Backroom & Sales Floor Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; handles customer purchases and returns according to established procedures; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor. The associate also participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, and shrink-reduction efforts, follows labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.

- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in upkeep of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
