About The Position

The Backroom & Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, safety, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position is located at Marshalls Store 0365 in East Hanover, New Jersey, and offers a starting pay range of USD $15.92 to $16.42 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Role model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
