Backroom & Sales Associate
About The Position
The Backroom & Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes processing merchandise for the sales floor, completing customer transactions and returns, supporting merchandising and recovery, promoting credit and loyalty programs, and contributing to store safety and shrink-reduction efforts. Associates are expected to support a positive store culture and follow company procedures, policies, and applicable labor laws. The starting pay range is $15.92 to $16.42 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and applicable plan terms.

Responsibilities
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
